Job Summary­­­­­­_____________________________________________
Under general supervision by the CFO, the Director of Human Resources leads the development, implementation, and coordination of human resources processes, programs, and systems to support Overture Center in the successful attainment of business objectives. This job is responsible for compensation and benefits, staffing, organizational and employee development/training, collective bargaining negotiations, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, compliance with state and federal human resources regulations, inquiries regarding individual employees, and community relations in terms of employee issues.

  • Embraces and participates in the advancement of the JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion) mission and vision of the organization.

  • Directs the development, application, and interpretation of human resources policies, procedures, and programs for Overture Center.

  • Maintains overall responsibility for recruitment, placement, orientation, and training programs and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Directs the company training and development effort. Leads organizational development and employee engagement efforts.

  • Analyzes and modifies compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

  • Coordinates Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations and directs compliance/enforcement efforts.

  • Leads HR departmental strategic planning and participates in company strategic planning.

  • Keeps abreast of external organizational “best practices” and builds best practices into planning processes.

  • Ensures an effective human resource information system is in place to accurately maintain records such as new hire, promotion, performance evaluation, and termination.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications_____________________________________________

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and related experience

  • 6-8 years of organizational development/management/human resource experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of complex laws regulating employment and labor relations

  • Excellent human relations, facilitation, problem-solving and mentoring skills

  • Strong leadership and development skills

  • Ability to deal routinely with confidential and sensitive information.

  • Ability to schedule work and manage multiple priorities effectively.
